Baked Cranberry Brie
Melted brie and sweet cranberry sauce make this decadent appetizer worthy of those special holiday gatherings.
Ingredients:
- 8-ounce round brie
- 1/3 cup cranberry sauce
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. orange zest
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup pecans
- Fresh rosemary for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 450 degrees
- Place brie in a small baking dish lined with parchment paper
- Remove the top rind and scrape out a shallow hole in the center, place removed cheese to the side for use later in the recipe
- Mix cranberry sauce, brown sugar, vanilla, zest, and nutmeg in a small bowl
- Top brie with the mixture
- Chop the pecans and sprinkle them on top of the brie
- Place the scooped-out cheese and top rind on top of the sauce and pecans
- Bake for 8-12 minutes or until cheese is melted and gooey. Watch the brie closely to ensure you remove it from the oven before the center collapses.
- Garnish with rosemary and serve immediately with crackers or fresh bread
